Enjoying a lovely Autumn day with hubby, Grant

My love of music began with piano, extending to guitar, recorder, flute, clarinet and even a bit of drums. I  sang and played bass in a local indi-rock band in my teen years, in my home town of Pt Pirie.

I have played my various instruments in a assortment of large and small ensemble and individual contexts since childhood, and have performed publically both professionally and as an amateur. My most recent performing venture was in an eclectic trio called Skarlet, with my dear friend and precious daughter.

I am an experienced instrumental tutor, with over twenty years of tuition experience in both group and individual situations, in numerous school and home settings.

I have completed both my Grade 6 practical exams for piano and Grade 5 Theory musicianship exams.

My qualifications include a Diploma of Neuro Linguistic Kinesiology, Diploma of Outside School Hours Care (a branch of child care qualification), Kindermusik Training, Intentional Creativity Coaching certification, Color of Woman method painting workshop facilitator, Level 1 & 2 Yoga Teaching, Certificate IV Ayurvedic Lifestyle Consultant. I have also studied education and counselling at degree level.

I subscribe to several piano and music teaching professional development sties and programs, including Colourful Keys, The Curious Piano Teachers, and Top Music.
